ADRA juvenile offenders who commit petty crimes will now be able to perform community service inside the city.

Prior to his recently signed deal with the junta’s Justice Ministry, they were required to travel to Almeria City to comply with the sentence, Adra Mayor Manuel Cortes explained.

Community service usually consists of performing tasks for the various municipal departments of Adra, although Cortes pointed out that these assignments were unpaid and did not involve any kind of working relationship with the town hall.
