Railway workers recognized by the Ministry of Labor

For the convenience of downhill railroad workers, the occupation “warehouse worker” has been changed to “warehouse worker/downhill railroad workers”.

The Ministry of Labor recognized railway workers by allowing them to register on the e-SHRAM portal.

Railroad workers are classified as warehouse workers and registration on the portal is based on the national classification of occupations. The list on the e-SHRAM portal was recently revised and now contains about 400 professions.

The current list already includes “warehouse worker” as a profession. However, for the convenience of downhill railroad workers, the occupation “warehouse worker” has been changed to “warehouse worker/downhill railroad workers”. Now godown workers can register under profession.

“An identity is the most important thing in the life of a human being. The Ministry of Labor of the Government of India has taken our fucking mall workers to a new direction in life by giving them identity.”

“Today the workers at Railway Mall Godown Shramik Union see a new ray of hope. Although not all of our demands have yet been met, some are being considered by the ministry, for which we are working with more enthusiasm,” said the workers’ spokesman. says Parimal Kanti Mondal.
