Peter Obi emerges Labor Party candidate for president
The former Governor of Anambra State, Pierre Obiemerged as the Labor Party’s (LP) 2023 presidential candidate.
He became the party’s pick at its ongoing national convention and presidential primary in Asaba, the capital of Delta state, on Monday after a former presidential adviser, Pat Utomi, resigned.
As one of 15 presidential candidates elected by the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Obi dumped the party last week, citing “recent developments” as the reason which appear contrary to his personal principles.
