Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty said he had consensual sex with his rape accuser Jennifer Hough and called her a “willing participant”.
Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty claims he had consensual sex with his rape accuser.
In court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Kenneth Petty insists he did not rape Jennifer Hough. Nicki Minaj’s husband also described Hough as a “willing participant” in the incident that happened over 25 years ago.
“I never raped the complainant and I deny her rape charges contained in the amended complaint,” he said. âI also deny all of the Applicant’s allegations in the Amended Complaint that I have committed inappropriate conduct, sexual abuse and / or sexual assault. The sexual encounter between the applicant and me, which took place 27 years ago, was consensual and the applicant was a willing participant.
Petty has denied Hough’s accusations that he forced her into a house to sexually assault her. In addition, he claimed that the only reason he pleaded guilty was to avoid a harsher sentence.
“I did not force the applicant into a house, I did not force the applicant to have sex with me and I did not in any way sexually or physically assault the applicant,” he said. he declares. âI never threatened the applicant either. I pleaded guilty to attempted rape despite my innocence as I was a scared 16 year old kid and was told my sentence would be 20 years to life if I did not plead guilty to attempted rape.
Petty was convicted of attempted first-degree rape in 1995. He was released from prison in 1999 after serving less than four years behind bars.
Hough, who accused Petty of raping her in 1994, is currently suing him and Nicki Minaj for harassment. She says the couple tried to get her to retract the allegations against Petty. His lawyer even suggested that Nicki Minaj and Petty had gang connections with the Makk Balla Brims.
Petty recently secured a lawyer to represent him in the harassment case despite Hough filing a complaint in August. He said the delay was caused by lawyers trying to jack up his prices since he is Nicki Minaj’s husband.
“I have diligently sought an attorney and have spoken with a number of attorneys to represent me in this action (my New York attorney does not deal with this type of civil litigation)”, a- he said in court documents. “Because, however, I am married to a wealthy celebrity, the lawyers I spoke with demanded exorbitant fees and demanded exorbitant fees (such as $ 100,000).”
He added: âMeanwhile, my wife, co-accused in this action, was also seeking a lawyer and was in the process of detaining Judd Burstein, Esq. to represent it in this action. Mr. Burstein had agreed to help me obtain a lawyer. However, due to miscommunication between Mr. Burstein and my wife, my wife and I both mistakenly believed that Mr. Burstein had been retained and were seeking advice for me⦠After Mr. Burstein was retained through my wife, he referred me to my current lawyer. I immediately retained my current lawyer and he filed the instant request shortly after.
