Bihar: Independence Day parade participants, officials get vaccinated
A total of 10 teams including the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Bihar Military Police (BMP), Home Guard and Fire Brigade will participate in the Independence Day Parade in Patna.

Official Independence Day celebrations at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Bihar this year will see no cultural events other than the display of seven to eight paintings and special guests from other states will also be absent as part of the measures containment of Covid-19.
In addition, all participating contingents and officials will be vaccinated prior to the start of rehearsals for the Independence Day parade on August 1.
“Parade participants will be tested for Covid-19 before rehearsals begin. They will wear a mask and follow the Covid-19 protocols during the rehearsal period, ”Patna Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Agarwal said.
It was also suggested that dignitaries be invited through e-cards this time around.

“A sufficient number of magistrates and police forces will be deployed for a peaceful celebration. Instructions were given to barricade and disinfect Gandhi Maidan. An appropriate arrangement of the installation of drinking water, of the electricity supply, of the lights, of the seating plan will be made, ”added Agarwal.
